Photography & Filming
Is there a fee to photograph the ruins for personal or social media use (e.g., Instagram)?
A fee applies only when a photographer is hired for a session. Visitors are welcome to take photos for personal use at no charge.
How do we book an engagement or wedding photography session?
Check our Events Calendar for availability, then call Diana at 613-347-2352 to reserve a date and time.
What are the hourly rates for a photography or videography session rental?
Engagement or family photo sessions can be booked in short blocks at $100 per hour. Rates for commercial photography are determined by the Ruins Committee.
Can we film video footage or a music video on the grounds?
Yes.
Are there any restrictions on what can be filmed or photographed (e.g., access to the cemetery)?
Yes. All video or music video shoots must be approved by the Friends of the Ruins committee, and costs depend on the purpose of the session. Renters of the Ruins do not have access to the adjacent cemetery, as it belongs to St. Raphael’s Parish — not the Ruins — and should be respected as the burial ground of our ancestors.
